Tree removal in Fulshear covers a wide range. In the new neighborhoods it is often a young tree that was planted too deep and died, or one the homeowner wants replaced with something better. On older lots and acreage it is a large dead or storm-damaged oak, pecan or pine, sometimes standing right over a house, barn or fence line.

Tree King has more than 30 years of removal experience and is based in Pattison, just north of Fulshear. We look at the tree and everything around it, tell you whether it truly needs to come down, and give you a price before any work starts.

What decides how a removal is done

What is underneath. A tree in an open pasture can be felled in one piece. The same tree over a roof, pool or fence has to come down in small sections lowered by rope.

How sound the tree is. A tree that has been dead for a while can be too brittle to climb. That is when a bucket truck or a crane is the safe way to do it.

Access. On acreage we can usually bring equipment right to the tree. In a fenced backyard on a small lot, everything is carried out through the gate, which takes longer.

What happens to the wood and the stump. Our price includes hauling away brush and logs unless you want to keep the firewood. Stump grinding can be done on the same visit.

Frequently asked questions

Does my tree really need to be removed?

Not always. If pruning or treatment can save it, we will say so. Removal makes sense when a tree is dead or mostly dead, split, leaning more than it used to, or causing damage pruning cannot fix.

My builder-planted tree died. Can you replace it?

We can remove it and grind the stump so the spot is ready to replant, and tell you why it likely failed so the next one does better. Check your builder’s warranty first if the home is new.

Do I need HOA approval to remove a tree in Fulshear?

Many HOAs require approval for front-yard trees and may require a replacement. Check with yours before work is scheduled.
