Wider lots, bigger trees
Fulbrook has what most new neighborhoods lack: room for trees and old ones already standing. Tree King prunes the big ones and trains the new ones.
Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek is built around Fulshear Creek, lakes and trails, on homesites that run from 60 to 90 feet wide. Next door, the original Fulbrook is an estate community with lots of an acre or more and mature native trees.
Wider lots mean trees that can grow to full size, and creek-bottom land means some of them already have. Tree King’s owner Lucas has specialized in the structural pruning of big live oaks and pecans for decades, and we are based close by in Pattison.

Crown cleaning, thinning and roof clearance.
Dead and hazardous trees removed safely, crane when needed.
Oak wilt, hypoxylon, chlorosis and root stress.
Deep root feeding and trunk injection.
Clean up after removals.
Fallen trees and hangers after severe weather.
Big native oaks and pecans. Old trees over a house or drive need deadwood removed, long heavy limbs reduced and the crown cleaned without being stripped. Pecans especially drop large limbs without warning when they carry too much weight.
Newly planted trees on larger lots. With 60 to 90 feet of frontage a live oak has room to become a real shade tree. Early structural pruning matters more here, not less, because the tree will be allowed to get big.
Trees near construction. A mature tree can look fine for two or three years after a house is built beside it and then decline, because roots were cut or soil was compacted. We look for the early signs and treat what can be treated.
Creek and lake edges. Trees on banks lean and shed. We take out what is dead or dangerous and leave the rest, since those trees are a large part of why people buy here.
We work in Fulbrook on Fulshear Creek and in the original Fulbrook sections, and nearby in Fulshear Lakes, Polo Ranch, Cross Creek Ranch and Weston Lakes.
For large trees we walk you through what will be cut and why before any work starts. For removals close to a house we can bring a crane.
Yes, and in the original Fulbrook estate sections as well. Both are a short drive from our base in Pattison.
Often, yes. Most large oaks near a house need weight taken off long limbs and deadwood removed, not removal. We will tell you if a tree is unsafe, and why.
Yes. Pecans are one of the trees we know best. Reducing the weight on long limbs is the main work, and it is best done before the nut crop and storm season load them further.
